Rangbhari Ekadasi in Varanasi or Kashi

Kashi is known for its unique festival. Rangbhari Ekadasi is one of the most important festival. 

Falgun Shukla Ekadashi is celebrated as Rangbhari Ekadashi i.e. the festival of colors. According to the tradition, before Holi, Baba Vishwanath returns to Kashi after performing the Sauna ceremony of Maa Bhagwati. On this day people get to see the moving idol of Baba. Every devotee has a desire to play Holi with Baba Vishwanath. For this, people throng the narrow streets.
